Shadows
-Behind me but never in front of me
-With me and never seen creeping
-On the side of me but never in my place
-Sometimes my eyes fool me, because when I turn my face
-It's gone without a trace, but I know it's there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-With everyturn, with every spin my eyes lose.
-It's like they're after me
-Unsecure of their purpose, night fall my friend, day time my enemy.
-It is as if what is behind me tries to catch up to me
-Like the Earth's solitude crumbling
-Jumbling, shaking, I lose grip and my feet slip.
-I trip and now the tables have flipped
-I am now the shadow
-i wonder how long would time and previous last?
-A shadow or shadows you find hard to cast.
-It's sad because it would always be with you in the light
-Then at night everyone forgets,
-When the sun is present we are reminded
-And sometimes they worry if it's you or the shadows they would trust.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-With doubt, you want who you really are to last.
-Shadows cover your colors like a darkness' mask
-And as they get close to you they reach for the grasp
........shadows are nothing but hauntings of the past.
