shadows

There must be shadows, without them there is no substance. They’re dark and sometimes menacing, Without them there is no beauty. People are shadows too, the outcasts and people who have been discarded. People are beautiful too, The cheerleaders and jocks. Shadows can be beautiful Their mystery and vendetta enthralling Shadows can be beautiful too, if given their chance to shine. I live my life in shadows, No one gives me the chance to shine. I’m the one everyone picks on, The shadow in the background. I am beautiful too, Intellectually and personally. Shadows have feelings too Their hearts can be broken Shadows are my only friends The rejects of society Shadows are beautiful too.
