Shadows
It’s okay to step back
It’s okay to fade away
The shadows
I have found
Are a nice place to stay
The sun is too sharp
Too bright and bold
I rather spend my life
In the shade of a tree
Wise and old
Alone is a peaceful way to be
And silence good company to have
The spotlight keeps you contained
While the valley of shadows
Lets you roam free
Sometimes the background
Is the best place to be
