Shadows
Am I a person ?
Or am I just a shadow lurking?
I wallow in all your glory not mine
For I have lived there all this time.
I wish for the pain to be whisked away.
But unfortunately I have to stay.
Those words you have used made me feel worthless. You have always treated me like a little pest.
I tried my best but I could never meet your standards. I have played out all of my cards.
Those words hit me like glass shards.
The words you said replay in my head.
Like a broken record.
You pulled the trigger at your own accord.
I am now gone and six feet under
And you watched as I plundered.
Don't you understand what you did? It's too bad there was no cure for what you have done to this poor kid.
You thought it was all a joke, Oh just give her a little poke.
Only if you knew she had a limit.
Do you even, ever regret it?
