Shadows.

Shadows

coming through the blinds

of the window

from the sun

hiding my cracks

and vulnerabilities

in the foundation

Shadows

like the warmth of mother's arms

resting in her bosom

protection

the most comfortable

of comfort zones

safety

Shadows

concealing secrets

of activities

indecent

because what happens in the shadows

stays...

hide the key

Light

Always

tends to find its way

slicing

through darkness

shattering

my locks

Light

never asks permission

truth shines through

nuisance

Shadows

are easier

like fear.
