In the Shadows

I sit in the shadows

Unnoticed.

In the cold.

You laugh at me and joke about me

What you really don't know is that

It actually really hurts.

Every day I die a little more inside.

Slowly getting smaller

and smaller.

You think it's funny

And I pretend to laugh.

Maybe it'll drowned out the sound of

your laughter.

Hatred.

I sit in the shadows

Alone.

Broken.

Because of you

I am afraid to let people in

Afraid that they'll be like you

Laughing.

Keeping me in the shadows.
