Shadows

My shadow follows me everywhere I go

Even when there is no light

It is always right behind me

I try to run

But it always catches up

I try to hide it

But they still see it

My shadow follows me everywhere I go

When I go to school

When I go home

When I go to bed

I can see it standing in the corner

Always watching

They stare and ask questions

I tell them my shadow is just passing through

But they know I am lying

My shadow follows me everywhere I go

I wish it would leave me alone

Just for one day

But my shadow just laughs at the thought
