Shadow's Defining

Dark Angel

of memory

returning to haunt

Those musings

left orphaned

bone stricken and gaunt

In shadows

defining

what sleep can’t abide

I’m forced to remember

what time

— cannot hide

(Dreamsleep: December, 2025)

Your Poem's Voice

PersonalThemeAbstract

Blends personal memory trauma with abstract philosophical meditation on time and forgetting.

SparseMeasureDense

Multiple layered ideas: memory, haunting, sleep, time compressed densely across five lines.

DarkSentimentBright

Strongly negative: dark angel, orphaned, bone-stricken, gaunt, haunting convey distress and pain.

StillEnergyExplosive

Urgent, restless voice forced to remember; ampersands and dashes create jagged, propulsive momentum.

MicroLengthEpic

Five lines total, counting the title attribution separately; micro-poem structure.

PlainFigurativeOrnamented

Rich metaphors: dark angel, orphaned musing, bone-stricken, shadows defining sleep; highly ornamented.

LyricVoiceDramatic

Pure lyric first-person internal consciousness; no narrative or dramatic persona distance.
