The Shadow's Figure

Do you see the strange man

Hiding behind that post?

He jumps at the slow breeze

Trembles like a scared ghost

Do you ever hear him

Make any sound at all?

He won't open his mouth

And stays close to the wall 

Do you know what he does

Over there all alone?

He's gone when the lights go

But when its dark, he's grown

I wonder if he likes it

In that quiet, small space

Or if he'd quite rather

Walk all around my place

One day I should like to 

Tell him nicely to leave

He seems odd, unpleasant-

Well, from what I perceive.
