In the Shadows I Hide

In the shadows I hide,

Afraid to let you see the real me,

Afraid to let the world know.

The only way I come out is with a mask,

Hiding the ugly inside.

The one you think you know

Is only a fake

Because the real one

Is too scared to come out,

Come out and be free.

She'd rather be swallowed by the ghosts from her past

That pull her into the shadows

Where she stays.
