SHADOWS OF THE MIND

Since that ninth year after seeing those lights you've been there

The lights I cant forget sitting there with the one I called brother I chased it and went blank

No memory just a feeling a change

You sunk deep into the pond and emerged seeing the shadows move as they spoke to me

You've avoided it for so long but the what if's remain

Like you, always there but never present the shadows growing darker consuming me from within

It gets so much worse everytime I fight, it's as if you feed upon my destruction

What happens when theres nothing left to destroy

Maybe I become the shadows of my mind and leave all of this world behind

Nothing to tell just a figment of this reality floating amongst the the chaos we call life as we wander aimlessly hoping we are meant for more yet ever proving we as individuals mean nothing without a better half long lost to the abyss we call our society. Fuck it the shadows say im not meant for here and have been fighting the inevitable demise of my earthly form for years I need to be with my people, its home, this life is pain, heartache, and disappointment the next has to be better.
