Shadows Painted with Wine
They ask me why I keep drinking.
So I tell them,
"There's a message at the bottom
of one of these bottles,
and it'll tell me how to get out of here.
I just have to find the right one."
Now I'm sitting on the kitchen floor,
lighting birthday candles
just to make wishes.
I wonder:
if our flaws were inked into our skin,
would my spaces be filled
if you were to lie next to me?
