Shallow
Is he a man or no?
Is she a lady or a woman?
Are these the standard?
Descended from the ultimate standard?
Do we let those foreigners rule?
Dear God, let it not be the standard long
The ultimate standard? No religion?
Your country has overflowed with it
No religion? It has been with your rich land
Has it no effect? Men have died for it
No country has thrived for long without it.
Rome? Rome is no more.
Your Island has thrived for centuries
No religion? You have deceived us
We only know sex, hangovers, fun
We know not love, good wine, joy
I want more than what just feels right
I want my LOVER.
I loathe peace and love, man
I loathe not peace and love
I need to work, I need my laws
Void is your course
You are black, sucking in everything
We are now red, we are white
We do not want you
Though we have the Ladies and the Ones
We have the country, bless God
We have creativity, we have insomnia
They will help us back from captivity from them
