The Shame of Life

live in the moment and have some fun

you're blind, you're naive, you never listen

get crazy and wild; worry when you're done

mind's empty, heart's dull, but your soul glistens

sweetie, don't listen, jealousy is near

not jealous, eyes open, girl's insecure

no, never. she's fought to see what's clear

no matter. I'll teach her; show her once more

my child, my angel, my saint, no despair

stop babying, coddling, your fault this is

I helped my daugther but you showed no care

you exposed her and you defiled her bliss

surely, you have to know there is no shame

but, my dear, someone has to take the blame
