Shamed, Blamed
First it's just a push
A shove
A hug
A simple brush of the hand
Then it's a hold
Or hand on my thigh
It feels odd
But I don't want to be a cry
Baby, it's okay
You can trust me
I won't take it any further
Than need be
But you lied to me
And now any touch
Turns my veins to fire
I'm just so
Tired
Of trying to please
Please, don't leave me
We'll always be friends, right?
Of course, just stay with me tonight.
You were supposed to be different
But maybe caring wasn't really your thing
I trusted you
I thought this would be different
I dreamed it would be better, I hoped it would be special
You had my heart by a string
But pulled it so fast you ripped it in half
My first broken heart
You did that
You left a hole in my core
I guess, we're just not kids anymore
