Shameless Cry

Hopes so bright, they all but blind me.

Look - I cast two shadows, falling

one before and one behind me:

Future, past and present calling.

Grace, release me from my heart-load.

Change and Choices leave me shaken.

Shall I sigh at every crossroad,

mourning for the path not taken?

Just for now, I'll cease reflection,

raise my hands, and renounce my guessing!

Lest I drown in self-examination,

I'll surrender to the blessing.
