shantha. nagaraja. from hindi, these

shantha. nagaraja. from hindi, these two names translate simply and purely into peace

& king cobra,

respectively.

the cobra, in hindu folklore, was always representative of combat and discord. In other words, the very opposite of tranquility.

what a strange juxtaposition of husband and wife. my grandparents embodied the young and yang, contradicting and complimenting themselves in name and in virtue.

somehow the intertwining of peace and war brought upon the next generation of unity.

my name is lekha. It is only between war and peace that we can form the sacrosanct.

sacred text. i learned what the name meant upon the birth of my only

brother.
