Shards

The pain she hides

Behind glassy eyes

Is too much too bear

Harder still to share

Her broken heart

Lays torn apart

Full of sorrow

How can she face another tomorrow?

Hiding within her disguise

While the truth is hidden among the lies

She feels herself begin to fall

Slowing losing it all

She tries not to scream

Praying for an end to this dream

The cuts run deep

Leaving scars she must keep

She will never be the same
