Shards of Glass

Dear mirror

Show me something I want to see

Everything I want to be

Reflect upon me success

Beauty

Make me as beautiful as her

And don’t fog when I sigh

Please, dear mirror mirror on the wall

Don’t shatter when I cry

Oh, mirror, I love you so

You show me all I need

I am good enough, worth enough

I am as good as I can be

Mirror why am I so ugly

Every time you remind me so

Your break me down and build me up

It is all for show

I try to cover you

But the curtain never lasts

Oh mirror I want to shatter you

Break like me, shards of glass
