Shards of my Mind

Shards of my mind litter the floor,

Fragmented pieces of sanity.

I try to piece them together.

I fail.

Who cast that fatal blow?

The searing pain that rippled through my mind.

An infinite force,

Repelling all the tiny parts.

They're closer than you'd think.

Harrowing thoughts,

That snip up your mind.

Crawl in through your ears.

The destruction that words cause.

Is untameable.

A word is all it takes,

To plant a seed.
