Ultimatum turned dream deferred

This age turned cold, gotta purge the herd
Arks take 2 per, but the sharks keep swimming
Our destination is a land beyond Earth
Cheating the saber-toothed may be how to resume winning
The blank sheep board ship and deliver the slip
Some deem a rapture, the smart claim a capture
Truth is, some juveniles rested and others later drowned
Winter is found, the trial is founded
A world that pays vengeance to the grounded
A river doesn't stop the rain
