Shatter

You ask me why I leave
I've been right here
I've always been here
My darling
My love
I'll never leave you here
What demons convince you that I would sin?
We all have our scars
But you are not one
I have yet to have you imprinted on my skin
My darling
My love
There's nothing you should regret about this
What demons convince you that I would sin?
You are not someone I would harm
You are someone I would hold
And kiss
Your neck bending under my lips
My darling
My love
I can feel you here
I imagine you are here
My darling
My love
I may watch from afar
But never assume
That I'm plotting
To shatter your heart

The Darcy Perspective

No one said that you are going to go through life unscathed. You will be hurt. You are going to hate people and people are going to hate you. You will even hate yourself. But those are not good enough reasons to give up. Someone out there loves you and cares about you and it will never be enough for you to love them back. You can’t just be done because your expectations weren’t met. You don’t deserve what you have, and until you understand that, you will never be happy with what you get.
