Shattered
Bleeding from the inside
Like an orchid
That's been shot through its core
Abused, shed from its roots
The only thing holding it together
Leaving it vulnerable
Its color drains
Creating a river of emptiness, regret
The gray petals crash onto the ground
Making it irreparable
The silence overwhelms me.
Emptiness closes in
The claustrophobic feeling building up
Like being thrown into a padded room
I am a mannequin
Frozen in time
Cemented to the past,
Lay me down to sleep
Take me under
I'd rather live an imaginary life
Then live the gut-wrenching reality
Losing you.
