Shattered
It’s shattered.
It is completely shattered.
They took one swing and it shattered.
It only ever takes one swing.
That one swing that shattered it,
It wasn’t exponentially hard or powerful,
But it hit the right spot,
The spot where it was the weakest.
It only takes one shot to shatter,
If it hits the weak spot.
It’s hard to remain shattered,
Everything seeps through the cracks,
Chipping away at whatever is left,
Until nothing remains,
Except the shards of broken glass.
Putting the shards back together,
That’s the latest challenge.
The one who swung can’t do it,
But who really can?
Is there a limit to how much damage can be done,
And still fit the pieces back together?
Or will it remain shattered in pieces on the floor?
I’ve yet to find out…
