Shattered Glass
From a home of shattered glass,
Nothing can mend the shards
The pain is bleeding from my every pore
Stubbornness and materialistic desires for the cause
We are no longer one.
We are no longer united.
We are no longer bound to one another
But we associate with hurtful words and situations
The people whom we were meant to connect with and love
Home is no longer where the heart is.
Home is where the hurt is.
Now I am from a home of shattered glass,
Nothing can mend the shards
