Shattered Pieces
Shattered pieces on the ground,
Shattered pieces all around.
These are the pieces of my heart,
It's been this way from the start.
Into the darkness and despair,
A life without love, with too much care.
For now, I am safe in the arms on another
But if I lose them I'll be gone forever.
I won't be able to live, for I don't know how.
That is one of my only fears,
and that fear haunts me,
Makes me shed crimson tears.
Yet maybe I won't cry because the heartbreak I've already felt,
Having the pain of a belt.
Shattered pieces of the night,
Shattered pieces fall at twilight.
