Shattered Pieces
Brokenness
No one ever talks about you
Yet you reside in everyone of us
It is what ties us all together
It is our common ground
Look at us
We are porcelain figurines
With delicate little cracks
Only with the sun radiating through can others see
Yet most cannot
They do not notice
We do not notice
It is only until we are broken that we become aware
Once we lay broken on the floor
We finally realize that we cannot do this alone
We cannot live this life alone
We cannot make it on our own
We need another
We are dependent on another
But who is there for us?
Who can we depend on?
Who can we rely on to never leave us?
Another human being? A significant other? A parent? A sibling? A friend?
.....God?
Only that person can pick up our broken, shattered pieces and make us whole again
They are the only one who can show us our brokenness and help us make amends
They alone can stitch us back together
They alone can glue up our shattered pieces
......but who is there for me?
