A Shattered Society
All I ask for is simple
I crave air, sunlight, and the sky-
And all those other necessary things
Like Starbucks and chicken nuggets and my phone
Omg my phone what would I-
Do you hear yourself?
Seriously do you hear what you’re saying?
You crave Starbucks over the air you breathe.
Well if it’s eight in the morning duh.
How would I even survive?
I think you would be just fine
I mean isn’t the knowledge that you are alive
Enough to sustain-
Blah blah blah
Of course I’m alive.
If I wasn’t I wouldn’t get to see
The new update notification for Instagram.
Ooh selfie!
Now why don’t you take a second and get back onto the topic.
What topic?
You know.
…
If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?
Ooh I got ya!
Well I would have to say
Clothes.
I would make
the cutest clothes available for all!
Ooh and make Wi-Fi free!
And have universal cell reception!
But really that’s all I would change.
If that’s all.
Well if we’re done I’m off.
There’s a new episode of the Kardashians
And I can’t miss that!
Of course not.
Typical
All so very typical
We all say this
We all do this
We are a shallow society
Run by our need for luxury and technology
Unnecessary
Broken
We are all so very broken
And we think we can fix it by buying
The latest clothes, the best technology
But we merely cover the mess
The blanket lies on all of our faces
Plastered, blinding us
All I want to do is
Grab a knife and saw it off all our faces
And expose humanity to life
