Shattered soul

Even on the darkest days, everyone seems to shed some light. Even when you feel like you cant keep going, your mind doesnt let you quit with out you knowing. You walk with your head held low, but your chin held high. You have all these people out there wondering why. You walk with a smile on your face, but a frown in your heart, knowing someone out there tore it apart. Youre holding it together for what you feel matters most, but all they see is a tattered ghost. They feel your presence, but theyre not aware. They never seem to understand you, even when youre there. You shed the happiness on those around, but in reality, your shattered soul is the one who needs to be comforted the most.
