Shattering the Mold

You can find the light in the infinite dark,

Or maybe just its switch.

You can manifest your own spark,

But don’t leave others with the lich.

You can illuminate your world,

Yet let the darkness cloud others,

With a fog as dense as a black hole,

Those worlds will be rendered twisted…and mangled.

Ensnared in an abyssal darkness,

Those worlds will perish in a limp, debilitated blaze.

I have amassed a collection of poems since I started writing in 2012. I'll be uploading 1 poem a day for the next two months (if I remember to do so) in chronologic order of when they were written. I felt like this site was the most appropriate place for my style of poetry and I wanted as many people to have the opportunity to read them as possible. I hope you all enjoy! I would give context to my poetry, but personal interpretation of poetry is my favorite thing about it so I do not want to distort anyone's perspective in doing so.
