Shawn

He stared at me.

"Ready for another day?"

I placed my clammy hands against the mirror.

"Maybe... Just maybe..."

I preferred when he was with me.

My dress flowed,

my nails sparkled,

my bun wasn't a strand out of place.

He looked so comfortable with

his messy hair,

his stained up sweats,

his normal colored nails.

"Why can't you come with me?"

I sat and waited...

He doesn't speak, but I get the clue.

They can't accept him.

I have to be this Barbie Doll until I get home

because being him

is too much for the world to handle..
