She...

She walked along a broken road,

Stiffly carrying her heavy load.

Strong for too long, almost completely beat,

She was always taking on all the heat.

With her head held ever higher,

And that knife gripped even tighter,

She fought for her life,

ignored through all her strife.

Her tears gave sure signs,

of the pain throughout her time,

but no one could actually find

the side she tried so hard to hide.

The blood dripped down her side,

it gave her a feeling of pride,

for the pain she felt right then

outweighed the rest times ten.

Her heart ached to find

her friend in the same state of mind,

it simply added to the unease

that was spreading like disease.

She tried to find ways to stop,

to lessen the blood she had to mop,

but the knife was like a drug,

it always pulled with a very strong tug.

Her pain finally ended one night,

another soul lost without a sight.

Not to be remembered for too long,

but to be lost like an old love song.
