She is

Dear Me,

Every morning, she puts on a mask
The mask society wants to see
The person people want her to be

    Day in and day out
They don’t know what's inside
The person she’s done so well to hide

She is strong
She is beautiful
She is fierce

She laughs
She smiles
She gleems

But as night falls,
She makes her way to her bed
The way people will react to the real her, roams her head

She is torn
She is scared
She is dejected

She trembles
She drowns
She glooms

Goes to bed,
Sorrow in her eyes
No one knows the truth that lies

Wakes up again and puts on the mask
Looks in the mirror and hates what she sees
Stuck in a body, she’s too afraid to flee

So again she is strong
She is beautiful
She is fierce

But in reality, she is torn
She is scared
She is dejected

But one day she will try
In hopes to get the courage
To let her true self come out and flourish

But as of now, will continue to live in this state
The person she knows she is remains concealed
It’s just a matter of time until her true self is revealed

                                                                                                      Sincerely, Yours.
