She
She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Too bad I will never be able to tell her that
I wonder if she knows how I feel about her. I never have been the inconspicuous type
Sitting at 101 degrees, fading in and out of fever dreams it is hard to convince myself that she is real. The only way I know she is is from the sheer fact that even my imagination could not conjure up somebody who loves me as much as she does
I have to keep reminding myself that she is temporary
How do I tell her that her words of endearment make me hate myself even more, because they remind me of all the things I am not: gorgeous, beautiful, talented. How did I tell her that I am the furthest thing from perfect that I know?
She is the anchor that keeps me grounded, my shoelaces tied to her so I don’t float off into the abyss
The saddest thing to witness is the love draining from her eyes. She doesn't look at me like she used to. The passion and desire are gone, replaced with the ghost of affection
Though we both claim we wish to work it out, we seem to be saying our goodbyes. Reminiscing on events long past, and feelings once mutually shared. Though we are still together I am already heartbroken
In one phone call I spot a single glowing ember in the dying ashes. There may still be hope
I used to go to her to dry my tears. What do I do now that she's causing them?
Words can do so much damage, especially the wrong ones
She's calling me beautiful again. Why do I not know how to feel?
Even though she says I've done nothing wrong I still feel every move I make is a mistake
Though I am not currently happy with her I'd be miserable without her
Everything has gone cold
Though we have parted ways I hope to come upon a day where we are both comfortable enough with our own minds to open our hearts again
In my book this isn't "The end", it's "to be continued"
Today she held me while I nearly cried and I didn't have the heart to tell her she was the cause of the almost tears. That I wasn't in fact shaking from worry, but from being in her presence
Even when she has caused me so much pain, I only want to heal hers
I expect so much from someone who has so little to give
I told her I didn't dream and was punished for it. Her figure appearing to me nightly in my subconscious but just out of reach as I'm wrenched awake gasping her name
Looking back on it I can't remember how I felt or why I felt it
