She is...

Her smile gives me strength

Her eyes remind me of the warmth the sun gives

Her words gives courage to fight another day

If it wasn’t for her,

I would not be here today, alive

Breathing

Living

Smiling

Spreading kindness in her name

Spreading love in her name

She loves me with all her heart and soul

Yes, as corny as it is

But her love is pure.

I thank the universe for giving me a person like her

She loved me through my dark times

Where I was broken by my past

Where my insecurities arose in whispers

Until they became louder to the point where living was getting harder

Month by month

Day by day

But until that one fateful night

She was there, crying for me

Crying for all the loneliness I felt all those times

I felt that somehow she was disappointed in me

But her hug is what caught me off guard

Her unconditional love overflowed in my heart that once seemed broken

She taught me to love myself

Love my flaws

Be proud of them she tells me

Not through her words but through her love

She is my whole being.

She is my inspiration to live on.

She is the person who taught me what love truly is.

She is my sister.
