She is a...

If I could change one thing it would be to change society's perspective of what is beautiful. I would do it by telling this story.

She is a...
Nubian Princess
Black beauty
Black Goddess
But not modest, and has dudes heads spinning 360°
She is beautiful on the outside, but underneath
She feels icky, boring, ugly, disgusting
She only sees her flaws.
Her logic is flawed.
She believes that she'll get more dudes by showing her thong.
She knows she shouldn't cast her pearls before swine.
But I'm afraid that this friend of mind has been hoodwinked and swindled. And is beginning to dwindle, down the spiral staircase of no self respect.
And the so called men that she is trying to impress, aren't trying to make her their empress, they are just trying to impress upon their bad intentions, and give her the wrong attention. She has no chance of contending with them, because she is so intent on applying her make up on the "bags under her eyes". all the while trying to hide the emotional scars that lie on the inside. I have nothing against make up. But it shouldnt be used to try and make up for what you're "lacking". But if one stops to think, we are actually not lacking anything. Because The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords knew exactly what he was doing when he created that dome. Painting on that Crooked Smile and even went the extra mile, to paint on each individual freckle, because you're a queen. So treat yourself like one. Wear your crown, turn that frown upside down, I know it's cliche, but Imma need you to forget about what everyone says. You shouldn't have to lay down in a bed, just to hear the words "I love you" be said. Because then, baby girl you'll be burned, out of options, stomach churning, feeling disgusting, like no one should touch me. But I know a God who has been yearning to reach deep in your soul, and touch the darkest of places, where your well kept secrets are placed in. All though it is crowded it is still vacant. And he doesn't want to vacay- in it. He just wants to become a permanent resident, and bring his presence in, so you will no longer have to present your body as a present for some dude named Jim. Let Jesus in so he can reveal what's been buried underneath for so long...Your true beauty.
