She and I
She was the reason why I switched majors, and the reason why I changed
She was the reason why I looked forward today, and the reason why I hoped to forget yesterday
I was the one giving everything I had, and she was the reason why I had nothing at all
I believed we had a mutual understanding, but she believed she was doing all she can
She never made time, but I had all the time in the world
She abused my kindness, while I succumbed to her charms.
And then the tables turned
I switched majors again, while she kept hers
I forgot about the past, while she stood in it.
She asked where was all the things I gave her, I told her I took them back.
She thought we had a mutual understanding, but I believed I have done all I can.
I took all the time I had and put it to better use, while she started to make some
I began to be cold, while she tried to gain my kindness again
The tables have turned.
Both sides could have done better, but the timing was never there
If felt like at any given time, only one side has cared.
If the timing was right, they would have still been with other
But they aren't, even one doesn't bother.
Communication and knowing whats wrong and right is the key to a healthy relationship
Because even if love is like a ship, it can end like the Titanic.
