She deserved it!
Every 2 minutes, a woman in India is victimized
The Indian officials says
She deserved it because she went out at night
She deserved it because she wore a dress
She deserved it because she was loud
A tradition that silences women.
Making heroes of assailants
Where majority tries to break the abused
Rather than bringing them up
The community that is supposed to support
But rather stands and points fingers
I wonder why Girls end up being quiet
I wonder why Girls end up holding their tears inside
Because they are bought up in a climate of disbelief
Whatever you say, nobody will believe you
Even if it is brought up, to her own community
Their response will be she deserved it.
Abuse is an endless horror movie
You already know what happens but it gets you every time
Maybe one day these walls will fall
One day women will get the freedom she truly deserves
