She hides behind her locked

She hides behind her locked door,

Yelling and arguing

seep through the thin walls,

flooding her ears.

The voices that once soothed her to sleep,

now unrecognizable.

Words that should never be said,

to one another.

her tears glide down her face

soft whimpers escape her dried lips

memories of what she had before,

a mother,

a father,

who loved eachother.

now?

nothing.
