She Just Wanted a Cool Cape
She looked in the mirror with a sour face
No one could understand why she was doing it in this place
In front of the mirror that hung on the wall
That told her that her face was not the fairest of all
She didn't really care for how fair she looked
It didn't matter, her evil gigs were already booked
What she really meant to ask the cracked mirror fixed with tape
Was ," Can I also have a really cool cape?"
The mirror said no, only Snow White could have one so nice
For she was the only one in this medieval time whose head had no lice
The Evil Queen cried and she sobbed and she fell
Because the answer the mirror had given was her equivalent to hell
She just wanted a cool cape like the one Snow White had
Was it so evil of her, was it so bad?
So she stayed up all night and worked on her cape, it was black
She showed it to the Mirror so proud of of her work, and he said it's disgusting take it back
She wept and she dreamt and she cried
Her soul had come alive just to sense happiness then died
She really needed to get her hands on something beautiful like what Snow had
She really wanted something like that, really really bad
Aha! She had an idea and she could carry it out
All she had to do was look like she had gout
She ventured beyond the castle with Snow's favorite in hand
Until she stumbled upon a cottage on a small patch of land
She knocked on the door and crooned in an ancient voice
," Open the door child, I want to give you a choice,"
So stupidly naive Snow stopped her chore
She fixed her hair, and opened a door
Snow saw the most ancient woman holding a basket
and Snow thought (She looks like she belongs dead and inside of a casket!)
But Snow was too polite to say so, she said ," Come in and warm up in front of the fire,"
," You look most cold and surely most tired,"
The old woman cackled and hooted and refused to go in
and the Evil Queen thought," This Snow White is really quite dim,"
She said ," Dear child, I want nothing but your ca-, I mean, choice."
" Apple green or apple red," which made Snow make a pleasingly startled kind of noise
Snow said," Red, please, my dear stranger," and she took the apple from the crone's wrinled hand
and she said ," I love red apples as you can understand."
The queen thought ( SHUT UP AND EAT THE APPLE!) while she waited in the wrinkled skin
And as Snow finally took a bite the Queen could not contain what she was feeling within
" I have your cape now, it's all mine!" and she felt a musical number playing in her head
One for the situation with dramatic swings and a good bassline, but the Queen was too exhausted so she went to bed.
She slept like a child for the first time in ages
and when she awoke she wrote in her diary on lots of pages
"I HAVE THE CAPE," over and over again
She started with page one and ended with 110
But she was happy for the first time in her life
Much happier than when she was that stupid king's wife
But no one understood this motive she had
And because she poisoned Snow the kingdom was very much mad
So she ran and she hid and she ran and she hid and she ran
Until she ran into a man
The man happened to be Snow's new hubby
He looked a little chubby
He also looked a lot mad
Like really mad and really bad
"Hey aren't you the crone who tried to poison my wife?"
his voice boomed, and the Queen felt scared for her life
" It was definitely you, I'd know you anywhere,
From your evil, disgusting smirk, to your black snaky hair."
He brought out his sword a long one at that
And he put hand on his head and pulled off his hat
He plunged the sword in to her body
and as she breathed her last, she said between gasps," I am really sorry."
" But your wife is really stupid she opened the door to a stranger and she took food from me,"
The prince boomed," Take that back you witch, or I will kill you, just my sword and me"
The witch just laughed," My, my, you're even more stupid, I'm already dying,
So I might not evade you in this conversation or engage in lying."
So she told him the truth and he listened very close
And he was given the truth dose by dose
When he walked back home, as an excited person-like shape
He sat down and told Snow," She just wanted a cool cape."
