She Makes My Day

Sunsets in the distance

And a long drive ahead.

Another excruciating day,

Finally coming to an end.

As my shoe hits the gas and I make my way home,

One thing comes to my mind.

Her.

Our walks around the neighborhood,

Hand in hand.

Her sweet bursts of laughter

Are music to my ears.

When we cuddle at night,

As sleep envelopes our minds.

A hug welcoming me home,

Everything will be alright.
