She Is Numb

This pain is a trite thing It should be over after all it brings My nerves are exposed until dull And now everything that's left is null It leaves a lethal gaping hole So no amount of putty can make it full Inside a cracking shell is a girl She looks without seeing She scars without bleeding She hurts without feeling She is numb and always will be Behind a shattered mask is a girl She listens without hearing She cries without tearing She's afraid without fearing She is numb and always will be Deep down in the ruins is a girl She loses without playing She unravels without fraying She hopes without praying She is numb and always will be She always will be me In different shapes and different forms With angel wings and devil horns Numbed by the pain in her head The pain in her body The pain in her heart The pain in her soul
