She Should Shift

From the Earth’s core

Too the farthest star

Out of the list of many wanted changes and wishes

Remains one desired more than the others

It’s just this one girl

She is the source to all these problems

Can never predict what she’ll say

“Hey! How are you today?”

I received various answers without much thought shown in her eyes

Can’t really figure out really how to empathize, for one day

She’ll storm off with tears of who knows what

Other days she smiles

Oh… that smile!

It can be felt light years away

Radiating her warmth and contagious happiness…

But out of nowhere she’ll snap! Her eyes

Would turn Pluto cold and send a chill

A chill down thou spine and out your toes

As if her blood froze…

Frosty, her breath, shakes every part of thou body

Shrinking you back into your shell

But if only there was something to do to change her capricious attitude,

The attitude that sends the mercury one day above our heads, and the other, lost beneath our feet

If only she woke up on the right side of her bed every morning,

Oh how heavenly she could be

Her gentle whistle as she brightens our days with her brighter smile

Her name, too bad it’s not Caroline or Victoria,

For she’ll forever go by Georgia,

 Georgia Climate
