She Sits Alone

Location

Her beauty doth shine as ‘twould make the sun

Itself seem as though ‘twere but a mere coal.

A match for her, there is never a one,

For it doth shine from the depths of her soul.

Her mind wouldst make a razor seem so dull

That none could e’er compare with its keen edge.

Her voice doth make any man’s life feel full

To her cause are their lives forever pledged.

Yet, tis her heart that is her greatest part,

For kindness warms o’er even the coldest.

Her face would set flame to any man’s heart,

Its mere sight makes a man feel truly blessed.

Yet, for all this, she sits always alone

None risk her rejection to him be known.
