She Still Glows

I look into her beaming eyes
and see pure delight.
I gaze upon her soul
and find a distressful sight.

Her smile weathered from splintering pain
, but she holds glorious ability, to sustain.
She evinces the beauty that I wish to hold.
She accepts the tragedies that I seem to loathe.

I wonder how her smile still glows
a radiant shine from her heart, it shows.

I break with guilt and with the slightest pain
, and realized how hard it is to stay completely sane.

I awe at the strength that pours from her lips
from them,
I learn how to mend my soul when it rips.

That agony that she had,
it was meant to outlast.
But it is now outshined by beauty
that she has gained from the past.
