She walks the crowded halls

She walks the crowded halls alone.

The only happiness she knows,

Is when shes with her friends.

While the pain may come and go,

And the sadness lingers,

The emptiness is always there.

Sometimes a dull ache,

Sometimes overpowering.

She fakes a smile,

With her head held high.

Never to reveal the pain,

That a boy had once caused.

She tells herself that she'll be okay,

That she will move on.

But she knows she won't forget,

The pain her first love caused her.
