She Writes

She writes because it sets her free

It allows her mind to wonder

And her eyes open to finally see

That she’s standing in a world

Created by her, ME

Writing is her only voice

Sometimes she doesn’t want it to be heard

But she knows that’s her choice

Writing keeps this girl sane

It talks to her confused brain

And soothes her mixed soul

Causing her mind to slowly become whole

She writes because anything goes

Sometimes she writes non-sense

But she’s only speaking from her conscience

But to her, it makes perfect sense

She writes to speak to GOD

The man who knows her best

He answers her prayers, he doesn’t nod

She writes because she wants to go west

Writing is her passion and her heart

DEATH will never do them apart
