She...is me.


Disney movies,

make believe,

games with her brothers,

one had to leave.

 

Tried to make friends

chill and say 'hey',

she was too different.

None would stay.

 

Years, just a few,

new people met,

Devotion unquestioned,

Not even to bet.

 

You look at her,

she looks away, 

a lot on her mind, 

but nothing to say.

 

World is growing,

lots of new space,

'ideas are welcome',

she has a place.

 

Child, teen, woman, 

Me.

Used to act,

now just be.

I am...
