Shepherd 12-1-17

A shepherd’s life is one of peace

As his purpose is simple and clear

To care for sheep, the gentle beast

In tender manner and care

To spend the day as a protector

Benevolent and steadfast in his responsibility

Staving off potential danger

He completes his work happily

And at night, to rest

Spending the midnight hours to gaze

At that brilliant dust

The heaven’s spread and laid

A shepherd’s life is one of peace

And though any man’s existence is brief

His understands the heavens and earth

His is a life that’s truly learnt
