The Shepherd

You watch your sheep day and night
And watch us leap with joy and might.
You stand on guard when the wolves come out
And you guide us on a different route.
You lead us through the dark
to get us to the greenest park.
Sometimes you let us roam,
but we know you’ll always get us home.
You run beside us on the path
You save us from the coming wrath.
You like to give us lots of kisses
And when we stray you’ll surely miss us.
You discipline those you love,
Your kindness comes from above.
When your blessings come raining down,
We will know that we are found
